Bulleh Shah: Comforting Prayer of Love

Assalaamu'alaikum wa rahmatullah

Hail, Lord the True Teacher!!!

The God that you find in the jungle
Is found by birds and fishes
Only those with pure sacred heart find the True God
You have learned so much reading thousand of books...
But do you even bother to read what is inside you?
You visit and sit inside the masjid and temple...
But have you ever think of visiting your own soul?
You are busy of fighting Satan
But have you ever fought your own evil intentions and desires?
You have reached the sky but you failed to reach your own heart
You may destroy masjids, go and destroy to the earth temples...
Do as you wish, do as you please
But never destroy the human heart
For the Lord is there in

This is one of my favorite poem from a portion sung by Abidah Parveen in Punjabi. The poet name is Abdullah Shah but widely known as Bulleh Shah. His poetry are also being sung by Sikh and Hindu singers but he is a Muslim of Qadiri order.

Some of his poems actually sounds cynical and critical toward orthodox practices of people in 17th C but that does not mean that he is not an Orthodox Muslim. Sometimes his poems are questioning certain things but it actually asking us on our intention of doing certain things whether it is simply a mere ritual which we imitate others doing or because it is due to our devotion to the God. He emphasizes the heart as the core of every practices and advocate love toward fellow creatures regardless religion and creed.

I always feel that I am not sincere to the God which makes me actually afraid of what will happen after being taken away. Baba Bulleh Shah was also accused by his colleagues because of his messages were misunderstood. Sometimes we have to think very deep and ponder on every words which would make us keep our silence and observe more. It also applies to Quran and Sunnah, right?

Sealed with prayers for mercy, peace, and love. amin!

More than 1000 Sunans

Assalaamu'alaikum wa rahmatullah

I thought that I would have to change my camera's reader card. Thankful to Allah, it does not have to be changed so I saved my money. However, I bought three books in the form of little treatise where two of them are intended for offerings to my brother in faith in the hostel. Friday sermon today mentioned that we must be thankful to brothers and sisters who help us. So, thank you brother. I burdened you after Friday prayer services for few weeks. I am grateful to you for giving me a ride though you were busy with evening classes. It is actually a great help. I will remember it always and regard it as an honor to receive your assistance : )

1. More than 1000 Daily Sunans, Sheikh Khalid al-Husaynan
2. Cure for the Heart, Muhammad Afif bin Yahya of Perlis
3. The Majestic 99 Beautiful Names of Allah, Shafiq Trading

The third book is intended for brother to receive blessings from Allah because helping me. I feel that I am filthy and not qualified to pray for others so I wish that brother who will receive it could pray and recite it for his own well-being and success in both world and hereafter. Just thinking on how to offer these to the brother without being noticed nor being known. If I could offer gold, I would also present it with gold but I am just a poor guy. I think I am interested in the More than 1000 Daily Sunans. Unfortunately, I only found a copy there because it is a bestselling treatise. I wanted to keep one for myself as a personal reference for practices. Anyone know whether it is sold in KL or Penang's MPH or other bookstores? Please help telling me where could I get it from nearest outlet if anyone passing by may Allah bless, thank you...

p.s: long time do not drive, I drive like a drunk man hahahahaha

Discussing about Turban and Sunnah

Assalaamu'alaikum wa rahmatullah

Last night I had talked with mum about wearing the turban and sunnah or our prophetic tradition. Though I would always being criticized for not being loyal to our school of jurisprudence but I respect the people and the imam who initiate the school of jurisprudence.

We came to the discussion where I expressed my surprise to see some younger people wearing turban. In my understanding, those who wear turban must be people who are initiated by a teacher or a peer. He must be a person who possess sufficient exterior and interior knowledge of the Path which could answer people who have doubt in their heart over their affairs and matters. Exterior knowledge is related to the school of jurisprudence and the interior is a bit deeper knowledge which could not be transmitted except with a teacher. Surprisingly, mum also has the same opinion. She told me about her experience in our village, the people who wear the turban with high hill on his head and with the tail usually signify a certain meaning beside that it is a sunnah. It is not only a sunnah but signifying something.

Chuanr Yie Dian Lee

I checked videos from fellow brothers in China and it is also the same where they also have the ceremony called as chuanr yie dian lee or wearing the robe for initiation as imams. We call this one in our lingo as chuanr jiash. These people look like our people here, I mean in term of practices but they are from Southwestern part of China which is Yunnan. Small portion of these people actually reside in Northern Thailand, Myanmar and Kelantan in Malaysia, hehehe. They recite everything loudly which is a bit different from those in a bit North. Some Northern "Malays" also consider Yunnanese as their fellow people. I don't know why...

I wish and pray that there would be no fight or quarrel among each of us. No matter whether we are from Qadimu, Khafiyyah, Qadiri or Jahriyyah we are the same brothers and sisters in faith where we have the faith toward Allah and His messenger and servant slave, Muhammad bin Abdullah. Don't hurt anyone but tolerate each other. Treat everyone with love, ok?

Special gratitude to brother SufiChina's Channel for videos.

Cure for the Heart: Second Section on Ears

In the Name of Allah the Most Compassionate the Most Merciful

www.geocities.jp

Behold that there are few benefits of the creation of ears on you whether it is worldly in nature or for the hereafter, dear human!

Worldly Benefits of Ears' Examples

1. Listening to words and sounds
2. Through listening to words, human comes to comprehension
3. Human would be responsive to words

Hereafter Benefits of the Ears' Examples

1. Listening to Quran and Hadiths of prophet Muhammad s.a.w
2. Listening to any beneficial lessons which could lead everyone toward Him

Listening is more favorable than looking at something due to that the benefits of the hereafter of listening is much larger than the looking at something. Most of the benefits that the eyesight gives human are of the worldly benefits. Thus, you will find that those who are blind are more perfect compared to those who are deaf. The beginning of being grateful to the Lord on the grace of listening is through avoiding from what the Lord forbids us to listen.

What are examples on what He forbids us to listen?

1. Slanders
2. Gossips
3. Listening to young women voice and the same goes to women listening to young men to avoid slanders
4. Listening to pointless debates and arguments
5. Listening to musical instruments which are forbidden due to that they may cause carelessness in worship for example listening to flute and other instruments (refer to sunnah and slowly changing don't be too drastic)
6. Listening to words which consist sinful remarks and worthless because they may cause doubts in the heart

Words that we listen are like food. Some are nutritional and some are harmful for health like junk foods though they taste nice. Some words could also be antidote for diseases just like few types of spices. Words would leave marks in the heart longer than the food stays in the stomach. Food would just disappear, digested and absorbed by body system such as intestines through human daily activities like sleeping and etc. If there are some leftover undigested food, we could still get some laxatives to digest them. However, word being cast in the heart are different. Sometimes they would remain there the whole life of the listeners. If those words fallen in the heart of the listeners are evil words, they would always cause doubts, slanders, and even worse larger destruction.

So, a sane person must be very careful and protect his or her body parts before being questioned and investigated in the hereafter during the Resurrection as what has been mentioned by the Lord:

"Indeed the listening and the eyesight and the heart will be questioned in the Resurrection!" (Surah al-Israa' verse 36)

Dear Allah my beloved Lord, please protect my body parts. They are not mine but Yours. I don't have anything here even my soul is Your belongings. Please lead me into the light but banish darkness in me and around, dear Lord. Protect brothers and sisters in faith, and forgive us our sins.Sealed with prayers for mercy, peace, and love, amin!

CNY: Sungai Petani 2012

Assalaamu'alaikum wa rahmatullah

Village Mall

Mangrove Forest and River

Masjid Sultan Muzaffar Shah

Fajar prayer service with mum in the congregation.... I noticed a fellow Muslim Chinese brother there but I didn't get the chance to talk with him because he quickly disappear after the service. Usually I would choose to pray beside Muslim Chinese brother because of the sense that we are the same people, haha.

Old SP Town

Having some breakfast, nasik lemak tungkup tunjung with mum after prayer service. Nice view huh...This one is beside the old bus station. I used to take bus from Penang to Sungai Petani while being an undergraduate student and I stopped by here during holidays. I stayed at our old house alone with an axe in my hand while sleeping. This place sometimes make me feel not safe but it is my hometown. I was born here and three years of my early life was spent here.

Char Koey Teaow Stall in Old Town

Foods

These cuisines and things could be easily founded in the natt in Sungai Petani Old Town...

Khao Nieow Gai Thoat

It simply means chicken with glutinous rice or pulot ayam goreng. We bought this together with the following snack from a Muslim Thai auntie who talks vulgar words, hahaha.

 Miang Kham

A kind of Thai snack known as Miang Kham which consists of Cha Plu or Daun Kadok as the wrapper. Ingredients inside the leaf would be shallots, fresh bird eyes chili, ginger, garlic, lime, onion, roasted peanuts, small dried shrimps with sweetened nam pla sauce. Nam Pla is fish sauce and it is wrapped separately in the plastic like we can see in the picture.

Mentarang

Urmmm, I don't know what is this called in English. It's called as Mentarang in Malay. Perhaps a kind of Moluska. I'm not good in Biology anyway, haha. I think this could cause us impurity too if eaten but mum said that it is not mentioned in their school of jurisprudence which is Shafi'ie school. They sold this along side the beaches at Perlis such as in Kuala Sanglang and Pantai Sabak in Selangor. This one was bought in Sungai Petani in Central Kedah. A kilo in Sungai Petani, RM8 and RM9 along Pantai Sabak.

CNY: Baling Town 2012

Assalaamu'alaikum wa rahmatullah

Intro

Baling is a province in Kedah state. It is a neighboring province with Betong of Thailand. So, we could also listen some Southern Thai dialect being spoken here alongside with Northern Malay dialect. I love this place although it's not as nice as London, Melbourne or NY... Last time we talked about this town among fellow Kedahan friends when we chat about our provinces and territories. This is the place where I get my driving license and it is a peaceful town, hehe.

Baling Bus Station

Quite rare buses, sehari sebijik bas berulang pi mai sini... hahahahahaa...........

Baling Town Fire Department

As to say, we are very proud of our sultanate and state. We love it and we show it through flags and our lifestyle : )

Baling Hill

Natt Baling

We call bazaar as natt in our regional language. This one is a weekly bazaar in the town where it could be divided into few sections such as food and cake stalls, vegetables and greens, clothes and daily stuffs, meat and fishes, religious books, medicine and ointments and etc....

Natt Food Stall

Usually they sell drinks and light foods like noodles, chendoi and stuffs. The second pic is actually the pic of Thai speaking family. They speak Southern Thai dialect which is actually identical to our grammar but only the words are substituted into Thai, hahaha.

Foods at Natt

Many interesting foods but we just tried these noodles. The first one is Laksa and the second one is Mee Hoon Sup. These noodles are Chinese influenced but being different in term of ingredients used like Laksa's gravy is made of fish. I don't eat it anyway but I would tolerate the smell for other family member because not all are the same in a house : )

Dried Seafood Section

This section is for dried seafood like dried squid, dried fish, dried anchovies of different grades, spices, onions, garlic, and etc.

Pure Honey

Pure honey or mesan lebah. I am still afraid of those bees though they are not flying around after sunken in the liquid.

Vegetables

Kitabs

Some kitabs or books in Jawi script. People will buy these kitabs and learn many things such as morality, law of the life, and etc from these through teachers explanation in the madrasas around. It is called as menadah kitab which means begging with the books. I planned to also do this when I finish everything during my free time. The books such as cure for the heart was bought in this kind of bazaar. It does not cost a lot but just few ringgits. We just have to analyze the sentences in the books because it used Arabic influenced Malay language and it could be quite difficult to understand them.

Diary

My camera is not working after we returned from Petrijaya at Jalan Kulim. It's reader card having a problem and I don't know what is the reason. I tried to fix it but still does not work. I've got to ask the shop where I get it on how to fix it. It's the camera that I bought to do coverage for local newspaper as a stringer here but I didn't get the salary because I quit few days later after having transportation problem and I don't think I am suitable to be a reporter as dad's wish : (

Useful Ways of Leading a Happy Life: Chapter 1

In the Name of Allah the Most Compassionate the Most Merciful

Greatest and fundamental means of achieving a good life is the faith and good deeds. In this matter...

Allah says: "Whoever works righteousness, man and woman, and is faithful, verily to him will We give a life that is good and pure and We will bestow on such their reward according to the best of their actions." (Surah an-Nahl verse 94)

So, Allah the Most High informs and promises whoever are faithful with good and righteous deeds, He will give them a good and pure life in the world. There are rewards in the world and the hereafter.

The reason behind this is very clear. It is because a faithful servant believes in Allah's promise. So, he strive hard into charity and righteousness, he mends the heart and trying to correct evil behavior to goodness bringing benefit to everyone in this world and for everyone's hereafter. Such a person who possess these basic elements will be guided when they deal with situations of happiness and joy and in situations of anxiety, sorrow and grief.

They gratefully accept situations whether it is happiness and joy by thanking Allah. They use the happiness and grace toward beneficial ways. When they use them in this manner, they would experience additional joy and they desire the blessings of these things hoping that they would remain with them always. These yearns rewards to those who are thankful to Allah. It explains about the joy of a person being thankful on the grace is making a person feels much better than at the time he received the first joy.

On the other hand, in harmful and unpleasant situation... The person would deal with the situations by resisting as much as possible. Trying to lighten what could be lightened. Persevere with a beautiful contentment over what they are weak to resist. By this, they achieve the benefits of earnest struggle and gather experience and inner strength. They are promised by Allah with the reward of patience and perseverance. The rewards are far more great as it shrouding the misfortune that befell them. As a result, they could still feel joyful and optimistic with sincere desire in getting the favors of Allah and His rewards.

Muhammad s.a.w says: "The affair of the faithful is really wonderful!!! All of his affairs are good. When he is touched by ease and fortune, he is thankful to Allah and that is good for him. When he faced misfortune and suffers, he is patient. That is good for him. And this is only for the faithfuls." (Narrated by Muslim)

Muhammad s.a.w told us that the grace that he gains and the benefits of his deeds are multiplied several fold in all the things that befall him be they pleasant or unpleasant. That is why we could see two persons facing the same ups and downs in the life but they differ widely in the manner they encounter the problems. It is according to the level of faith and righteous deeds.

The one with faith and righteous deeds encounters both pleasant and unpleasant situations with thankfulness while in pleasant situation while holding on with patience in the opposite situation. It makes sorrow and grief being dissolved by the heart and he could still live a good and happy life in the world though facing misfortune.

The other one encounters joyful and pleasant situation with insolence, arrogance, and rebellion. It resulted his behavior deviates and he turns to be just like an animal. He encounters grace and joy with greed which would lead him to anxiety. His heart will feel restless and not at peace. There are several reasons which will lead to these:

1. It is due to the fear of losing the good things
2. Feeling anxiety to retain the good things with them that makes them having to struggle.
3. Human nafs (selves) know no limits and boundaries to what it desires or whether he should acquire something or not.

Even if he acquires the fortune or whatever he desires, his heart would still feel restless because the cycle will repeat on him. When he is afflicted with unpleasant things, he is worried, full of despair, fearful and sorrowful. Only Allah knows the degree of the wretchedness of the life he is going through. How he faced mental and psychological troubles and the extend of fear that would ultimately bring him to more horrible and heinous results. It happens because he has no hope of getting the reward so he did not pray to Allah. He has no patience that will console him and lighten his pains because he does not believe in Allah's promises.

All of these is known from human experience itself. There are many examples of life in which we can reflect upon ourselves. Observe through it with our experience and we will see wide differences between the faithful who is acting according to his faith and the person without faith to Allah. This is because the Way of Life strongly urges contentment with Allah's provision and with whatever He grants to His slaves out of His favor, wisdom and vast generosity.

If the faithful servant is afflicted with illness or poverty, or similar tribulations that no one is free from, he is pleased and contented because of his faith to Allah. It is due to that he believes that it is divinely decreed upon Him. His heart does not asking for what is not destined on him. He looks at people who are less fortunate than him and feeling merciful. He does not look to those who are above him or those who are richer than him. Through this, he perhaps feel even happier, more delighted, and more peaceful than others who have all their worldly needs met but are not gifted with the peace of heart. The opposite is the case of one who does not act in accordance with faith when he is afflicted with poverty or loss of worldly needs. He find himself in utter despair and wretchedness.

Another example is when fear and disturbing events befall a person. We would find a person with a sound faith having a firm heart. He is calm and firmly in control with situation by making the best use of his faculties of thought, speech, and action as though he has already prepared himself for the event. This type of reaction puts him at ease and strengthen his heart.

The reaction of one without faith on the other hand is the direct opposite to this. When he encounters fearful situations, his heart trembles and his nerves becomes tense. His intellect loses its focus. There is nothing inside him except the alarming fear. The outward terror is increased by his inward restlessness. The degree of which is beyond expression. This type of person among mankind, if he does not acquire some of the natural means at the disposal of every human-being for dealing with troubles through life experiences, their energy would becomes completely sapped and suffer nervous breakdown. This is because he lacks of faith which encourages patience, especially in situations of anxiety and difficulty. It hits the nose of Abdullah who types this note... Padan lu punya muka harap Tuhan ampunkan lu punya dosa!!!

It's true that both the good and bad, the faithful and non-faithful ones both share common human quality of acquired courage as well as innate ability to deal with dreadful situations and lighten their oppressive effects on the self. But the faithful due to his strong belief, patience, reliance and trust to Allah with his desire to receive reward from Allah excels in having qualities that make him courageous and soothe more effectively the pangs of terror and the pains of calamity on him.

Says Allah the Most High: "If you're suffering hardships, they too are suffering similar hardships: but you hope only from Allah for which they hope not." (Surah an-Nisaa' verse 104)

How to eliminate worry, grief, and anxiety???

Kind and merciful toward fellow creatures (includes animals, trees, and invincible ones) through:

1. Speech and prayers
2. Deeds
3. All types of acts of charity

All of these acts are highly esteemed by Allah and He will remove anxieties and worries. He removes it according to levels of charity toward other fellow creatures. Charity must be based from sincere, love and pure heart only for Allah. We do not get reward from fellow creatures but from Allah only. The reward is that Allah will make charity is easy on him and unpleasant things being removed due to sincerity toward Allah.

Says Allah: "There is no good in most of their secret conferences except (in) him who exhorts to a deed of charity (in Allah's cause), or goodness, or conciliation between people. Whoever does that seeking pleasure of Allah, We shall bestow on him immense reward." (Surah an-Nisaa' verse 114)

Allah, the Most High informs us that these things are all acts of charity whosoever does them. And act of charity bring them benefits and remove evil. However the faithful who seeks the reward and pleasure of Allah, for him Allah gives an immense reward. Part of immense reward is the removal of grief, sorrow, and anguish. Allahumma salli 'alaa Muhammad wa 'alaa aali Muhammad...

Useful Ways of Leading a Happy Life: Introduction

In the Name of the God the Most Merciful the Most Compassionate!

Sometimes, when we are facing difficulties in life we tend to forget about the God too. This is true because I did faced this and lost faith to the God. Even nowadays, I still feel so useless until it makes me feel so filthy that I could not even face people's face. After I returned from pilgrimage, this book is one of the books provided by the Ministry of Da'awa, Endowments, and Guidance Affairs of Saudi to me. It's title is the Useful Ways of Leading a Happy Life by Sheikh Abdul Rahman bin Nasir as-Si'dy

It has eight chapters altogether. I read this book when I feel so restless and hapless last time and trying to keep it going but each time many obstacles also come thus I have to be patient. Recently I feel the same especially when I see people returning home for holiday without having to think about what will happen in the next semester. Maybe I think like that but who knows maybe they are also struggling. We just look at the exterior part of people's life but never their inner part of life. So what we physically see is our perception on them. It could be wrong or could be right and it depends on situation of individuals. I am also not excluded from this kind of attitude. So, I must be very careful with the environment around.  As I had also sometimes feel my faith being tested, I must also punish myself. So, I punish myself to type this may I memorize it by heart and soul. Moga terpasak kunci dalam hati dan rohani kita, inshaallah!

We actually wanted to have a peaceful life. As for me money and everything is always a burden but when we have no money how could we operate our life? So, I also think that I am involved in polytheism when I came to this question because I associate the power to be able to live with materials, may Allah forgives me my sins on questioning His Power and Strength over weak creatures. Let us see what is the view of this Sheikh about how we could gain happiness in life?

Introduction

Praise belongs to Allah, to Whom all praise is due. We bear witness that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah. We bear witness that Muhammad s.a.w is His slave and messenger. May peace and blessings of Allah reaching him, his family and companions.

There is no doubt that the bliss of the heart, its tranquility and happiness, and the absence of grief and worry from it is the goal of every person. It is the means by which a happy, blissful and excellent life is achieved. There are means to achieve this which are:

1. Religious
2. Natural
3. Physical

These means are never gathered together except to believers. Non-believers on the other hand, despite of the earnest endeavors of their philosophers is to lead them to these means, even if they achieve them in certain aspects, they still miss the way to them in several other aspects that are more beneficial, permanent, and better in yielding the result.

The Sheikh mentions in the treatise the ways and means to achieve the lofty goal which is desired by everyone. Some people are successful in these ways and therefore live a good and pure life. They enjoy their life. Some woefully fail in following them so they live a wretched and miserable life. Others lie between these two extremes; by the level of their following these means, by that level they live a good life. And it is Allah that guides to all that is good. He wards off all evil and it is His assistance that we seek in this.

Favorite Nephews

Assalaamu'alaikum wa rahmatullah

Diary

Suddenly stumbled at nephews social network side, hahaha. I have few close nephews last time especially of mother side. But after the death of grandparents we become not close anymore. I wonder what happened to them so I just used sister's social network account to trace them. One of my favorite nephew last time was Shafiq. They still live in Kodiang noh. I don't really like his dad which is my cousin. It's not because I am a bad ass or I hate to socialize with my own relatives but I found that his dad is a cocky manner less guy.

He offended me by low-estimating my dad's job and my dad was the breadwinner of the family. I don't care what political ideology he is or how Islamic he is but we don't show our faith to people. It is between us and the God. I don't care if people are calling me an infidel because I don't go to the front line to show off being a prayer imam during taraweekh in the village or looking like an ungodly guy who knows nothing about religious knowledge. That is their mouth, they have no right over the God's judgement. I don't talk much, once I sense something I would just leave people behind.

Last time when I was in standard three I remember that he was so naughty but also lovely in characteristic. We use to play together just main cara budak-budak kecil wrestling, chasing each other, spending times chatting, watch TV and etc. I don't have any problem with Shafiq but I am afraid time and what had happened deteriorating our relationship. Until few years before grandparents passed away he also followed us back home to stay over during holiday just to fill his time but each time his dad would came by maybe to avoid him from mingling with children of his lowly auntie.

He looks a little like his dad, hahaha... Anyway I am proud of you for the tradition of the family could be exercised by grandsons and granddaughters. I thought of getting your picture from your social side but I think it is ok because I would need to ask your permission and I would be noticed by other relatives. I am proud to know you are a student who bears Quranic verses. I wish you could further your studies in Medinah as you or your dad wish and may Allah makes your document easily being processed. Hope your dad try to ponder on himself and think a lot about himself too. When we think a lot about ourselves we would know how evil we are. It does not matter if we are orang kampung or orang bandar. We are all the same human-being the lowly creature of Allah 'Azza wa Jalla. That is what I feel everyday.

Other than that, his cousin was also my favorite nephew, Fawwaz. He was my colleague in al-'Alawiyyah in Arau for a while before I was shifted to Selangor. We are the same age although he is my nephew because my mum is the youngest daughter of grandparents and their grandma is the eldest. Nobody knows what I had experienced while being a student there not even schoolmates. I had problem with his dad too because his dad is the elder brother of the cousin who is Shafiq's dad. He scolded me and my second sister and humiliating us in front others during the tahlil ceremony while we went out to buy stuffs for guests and other relatives. He just came by and scolding people out of no where. He thinks that it is fun to have our close relatives died especially in front of our eyes? I cried like hell when my beloved grandma passed away in the third Shawwal of 2004 and I can't eat for few days. I was close with her too and I only talked about my problems when I was schooled in Perlis to her not to other relatives. Few days before she passed away, she crawled to my lap as if she's trying to tell me something.

I don't think I have the courage to see relatives anymore. Furthermore like most of cousins always calling me, I am just a useless guy. Yes I am... I am nothing as compared to the Majestic Lord and they should also realize that they are nothing in His view! Last time Fawwaz came few times at our house but I just act coldly because I am afraid of past problem with his parents (my cousins) though he is innocent. If I get the job after graduating perhaps I would just shut myself from relatives but I would try to keep connections with brothers and sisters in faith around me. I hate social network sides....

Now, it's hard right to make friend even with relatives and it also applies to people who embrace a certain religion because brothers and sisters in faith are relatives to each other :')

Sealed with prayers for mercy, peace, and love, amin!

Wat Thammikara, Burmese Temple

This one is Myanmar Buddhist temple. I had been here last time and experienced being locked because the time was out. However, some pictures were lost. Many tourists inside whether they are Buddhists themselves or Muslims. I meet few Sri Lankan and Iranian Muslims as well in the temple snapping here and there. Two monks at the statue are ready for blessings. Another one is in the hall. This one is in the sala a pavillion at the side of other hall. Monks could speak English as compared at the front one.

These statues representing Buddhism in countries like Afghanistan, India, Nepal, Iran, Cambodia, Thailand, and etc.

Carp fish pond

Pavillion of Buddhist saints

Depiction of Siddhartha Gautama Buddha life

Many migrants from Myanmar staying behind the temple. It has a hostel for travelers and they prepare donated foods not only for monks but also for travelers.

Wat Jayamanggalaram, Thai Temple

This place is popular with reclining Buddha. Behind the reclining statue, there are boxes to keep ashes of the dead. The place to sanctuary those ashes is known as bua which means lotus. I had been here few times before. I don't know what else is so interesting because many places had been explored in Georgetown.
