Low Social Integration

Assalaamu'alaikum wa rahmatullah

This video is a nice video but these guys are from a Christian organization about being a single male Protestant. I think now I am facing this problem too as a loner. I could only be friend with loners, hehe.

Among the content of the video...

1. Talk about your problem to someone, brothers, sisters
2. Head on with emotion, face emotions
3. Don't follow stereotype people put you in
4. Everybody will face this problem
5. Make some friends be social
6. No matter what problem we have, stay beautiful

Sometimes I do contacting Christian organizations like the Catholic, Protestant or Orthodox center and talking with them other than talking with Azren and other non-Muslim friends. I can't really talk with fellow brothers and sisters because I am already an ordinary Muslim and people only preach to people that they look as special. There is no need to listen to others problem if we can't help to solve them. Actually no need to help to solve others' problem but just be listeners. That is what I always do to my family members and also to some friends. I just listen and I only give my hand if I can help.

Condolence

I'm so sad after listening to the news that Baba Shenouda III (head of Egyptian Jacobite Church) passed away... R.I.P baba. I just returned home yesterday trying to finish up the thesis. Maybe I'll skip the class until Wednesday since we need to rush before April.

Sealed with prayers for mercy, peace, and love, amin!

Recap: In the Way to Hualampong Station

Assalaamu'alaikum wa Rahmatullah!

continue...

I personally think that it is always good to follow sunnah (but betel leaves is not mentioned anywhere in hadiths nor Quran at least till what I am reading right now). However we must also trying to adapt with the situation. We are out of our boundary so it is better to be careful in our attitude and it's worth to comply within local customs or being polite. The samseng Thai attendant (not uncle Sumant) had asked the ticket again from the Tabligh guy and the Tabligh showing it with sign language that his ticket had already been checked.

Then the attendant asked me what was that guy saying. I just said, I don't know him and I don't understand what he is saying. He's not my country man. That guy then asked the Tabligh guy to give 100 bhat (RM10) to him or he would report him to the police. Then the guy refused and showed him the ticket. The samseng attendant showed his wai (sembah) and left to another coach. I guess, he might be teasing the Tabligh guy. Maybe dia menyampah ke tengok orang tu macam berlagak, jeling-jeling orang. I felt annoyed too with that Bangladeshi guy's sharp glance.

Around 20:15 Thai time, we arrived at Hadyaai Junction and the Tabligh guy went down at this point. At 20:27, uncle Sumant wearing his white uniform began to help passengers opening up the bed. My bed was the lower bed beside Thai old lady.

I decided to sleep earlier because nothing to see in the dark. I had informed mum about the trip when we stopped at Perlis but she didn't believe me, hehehee. However, when she heard that I am telling her in serious tone only she believes me. Just want to get her blessing and want her to know where I am so it would be easy for them to track me if I have problem in Thailand.

I just heard a news about a guy who was a Malaysian student in Japan found dead in Pattaya after stopping for a while in Bangkok. I checked the news at Suvarnabhumi airport free internet facility and suddenly I felt creepy because that guy was found dead a week before I went up to Bangkok. Pattaya is not a good place, avoid the area if possible and don't show that we are not local when we are in Thailand.

Spaniard girl, Celia who was my classmate went there for Pattaya to see pingpong played by ladies' private part. Malu nak sebut benda ni lah but that is among the ways on how they attract tourists to the area. We would spontaneously call it as lo'laq (indecent) if we hear this. Many foreigners were found dead there too before our compatriot who was the student in a Japan university was found dead there.

Thailand have many other decent places to visit so just visit good areas there. Always establish good relation with people around and don't take taxis or bus when you are alone. I prefer to walk in a crowded area when I am alone. I would like to express my condolence to his family and friends, and prayer for the soul of the victim, Mr. Muhammad Syafiq Abu Rani who was found dead in Pattaya. He is just the same age like me. May Allah bless his soul, and clears his matter in the world and hereafter.

Back to the train, around 4:00 in the morning of 26th, I woke up and performed Fajr prayer on my bed. Just performing in seating posture and they have curtain so nobody can see my ritual, quite a relieve. Then I saw sun rises from the window, and we another few hours to reach Bangkok.

It would be so boring if we don't talk with anyone so I decided to walk around the coach with other passengers. I talked with a couple from Mauritius but the husband is a French. They also thought that I am a Thai and asking me to translate something to a lady selling the food in the train because they had some misunderstanding regarding food ordering. Then, they gave me some tips to access Laos, but I am not intending to go further North East yet. Maybe after I visit Bangkok and Southern Thai provinces several times that I would try to visit other neighboring Indo-Chinese countries.

I carefully ate some breads and canned drink which cost me RM5!!! Bought them at Padang Besar passport control center. The guy who sold the stuffs is a local Perlisian. Very 'expensive' for breads that we always buy in groceries. I guess that, it is not even an airport! Sampai hati noh angpa kapak orang sniri!!! Roti nam kupang ja jadi seringgit, apa punya meniaga la nih dok kapak pala orang??????!!!!

to be continued...

Condolence to Landslide Victims in Hulu Langat

Assalaamu'alaikum wa Rahmatullah!

I am quite surprised to hear this news. A madrasah known as Madrasah at-Taqwa was hit by a landslide like yesterday. I just noticed the news and quite sad because many of there are kids died in the incident. I guess the madrasah is not build up legally, poor kids and teachers there. First of all, I would like to express my condolence to the family of the victims, may you be patient with what had happened. Life and death are decreed by Him, we are just His creatures. May those victims rest in peace and blessed be their souls in the world there.

Hulu Langat was a place where I live after we returned to southern part from Kedah. My father have to resign when the chief minister of Kedah finished his term at that time. Then he returned to his old company in Jalan Riong and being a reporter again. He actually had took the risk by trying the job with the state and serving our motherland. If he didn't choose that way, he might now being an editor or being promoted to high position in his company who knows. But everything is decreed by Lord God.

When we returned to southern part, we lived in Hulu Langat and I know the area that was hit by the landslide in Batu. 14. We use to visit the waterfalls there and the place actually has beautiful natural scenary. I was schooled in Sekolah Kebangsaan Batu. 9 from standard five to six. I did not miss my previous school although at that time I was having problem to familiarize myself with new environment because the difference in dialect and a little bit culture. When we talk about this northern part and southern part, it is quite different. So do the eastern part of the peninsula. I was quite naughty when I was in standard six, but I did not build any close relationship with other students.

When I was in form one my parents decided to send me back to northern part. So, again I had to adjust myself and I began to have problems with my identity, as a Muslim kid because I always fight with my dorm mates. Later I had made a problem and my mother immediately took me home and changing me to a state monitored religious school in Hulu Langat, it is the Sekolah Menengah Agama Batu. 10. I had forgotten its other name, but it is a neighbor of a private school which is called Sang Suriya School. I was in the school until about two months I was in form four (16 years old).

I did not actually have good relationship with teachers or students there. I tried to hide myself from others and I had also fight with my classmates, I still remember two of them whose name are Hafiz and Tarmizie. Another one I can't remember his name but I still can recognize his appearance, when I was in my second year bachelor degree I met him at One Utama with his girlfriend but I did not greet him. When I was in form three, I almost hit him at his head with science class apparatus after we quarrelled about experiment stuffs. Later, Hafiz was a classmate of mine when we were dumped into Syari'ah stream. Those who were in Syari'ah stream are actually considered as losers.

I tried to get out of the school after I was insulted and humiliated by a discipline teacher. I applied for Technical School in Kajang because my mother did not allow me to enter Perimbun School. That Perimbun School was actually notorious school, I did not really care because I thought that I have nothing to do with religion I mean Islam and if Muslims say that I should go to hell I do not care.  For me this world is actually a hell. I belieevd that I would only attain liberty when I leave this world when I become a monk. I had already proclaimed Trin-Rattana (three gems) proclamation of being a Buddhist. I took that decision alone and was actually tied with Sai Sin (holy threads for hindus and buddhists) when I was in form one at a temple.

When I was shifted to Hulu Langat living with my family, I began to suffer identity problem and confused but I kept it only to myself. I believe many suffer this phenomenon but we only could reach them when they tell us about their selves and usually they would just keep it as a wound in their selves.

Hurmmm, this tragedy brings me back to old memories because of its location. Not really good memories but I have to live with them untill the day I see Him. When many people having good memories or sad memories shared with their old times friend and acquaintences. I am just sharing this to Him. Well, those who follows this site are also honorable friends and brothers to me. When Zaidi and Saiful who is his friend watching a movie about school kids called "See U in IPT" at his computer in my room during my first degree, it reminds me back of my pathetic self. The setting is actually in my ex-school in Batu.10, Hulu Langat.

May Allah bless the soul of the victims in the lanslide tragedy. May Allah place you guys amongst those who are faithful and fearful to Allah. If you guys are the bearer of Quran, I believe that He would never leave you alone. Instead you guys would have a company which is His words entertaining you while waiting for the day. May your family being blessed with you who would be waiting them and making them easier crossing the straight path which is the siraat-al-mustaqeem in the hereafter. My ta'ziyya (condolence) to the family of victims.
